Description :

Wind in the world. Turbine types. Linear momentum theory. Stream tube theory. Characteristics of the wind. Fundamentals for conducting monitoring program. Wind speed and energy distribution. Elecrticity generation.

Course Objectives :

The aim is to cover technical and economic importance of wind energy subject. The course  gives fundamental theory from a physical science perspective, then considers applied examples and developments.
