Ergun Ozakat was born in Izmir in 1935. After completing his high school in Izmir, he went to England to study automobile and mechanical engineering in 1954 - 1959. After completing his apprenticeship in Krupp Factories - Germany, he returned to Turkey and served in the military as reserved officer in 1960. Then he worked in the family holding business for 32 years as a top level manager in various subsidiary companies and factories.
In the meantime he completed a correspondence
course in electronics engineering from the USA. After retiring from family business in 1992, he has devoted the rest of his life, experience and knowledge to developing modern and scientific projects which will have great impact on Turkey. Currently, since 1992, he is developing the concept of The World Green Technology Corridor in Cesme Peninsula-Izmir-Turkey.

He says "Youth is learning"; Ozakat believes average life span will increase to 120 years and therefore education will be life-long.
He had numerous innovative projects in his life. Ozakat helped to introduce 2 new laws in Turkey "Revaluation of Company Assets and Stock Dividents" and "New Wireless Law".
Currently acting as Honorary Consul of Finland in Izmir. Mr. Ozakat is married and has two children.
