Geothermal Energy
Geothermal energy is the energy stored in the crust of the Earth. There are several methods to make use of this heat. Most easily it is utilized either by bringing the heat to surface for the circulating water in the buildings directly or indirectly or by converting that heat to electricity. Heat pumps, using compressors like in a refrigerator, is another well known method that can heat a house at 50% or cool it at 25% reduced costs.
