Solar Photovoltaic Energy
Photovoltaics (PV) devices are called solar cells or modules use direct conversion method of sunlight to electricity. PV systems have no moving parts to wear or break down, make no noise and cause no pollution while generating electricity. In U.S.A. it is estimated that PV modules covering an area of only 0.3% of the whole land would produce all of its electricity needs.

PV efficiencies have increased to over 30% and prices are expected to be competitive with other electricity generating methods within the next 3 - 4 years.
