What is a Technology Park?
A Technology Park brings together the government, the academic community, the businness and financial sector in a well planned development which integrates commercial buildings, with research facilities, residences, recreational areas and hotel conference center.
A Technology Park is a community planned to create an environment which stimulates intellectual activity, thereby attracting both workers and managers in technology fields that rely on such personnel for success.
The
Izmir Park
will not just develop state of the art buildings, and lease or sell them to the companies that occupy the park.
The
Izmir Park
will not just bring together housing, a hotel, a convention center, an aquatic center and office buildings; in a community providing a modern telecommunication center, fresh drinking water from the sea and electricity produced by wind and sun.
The
Izmir Environmental Technology Park
will help establish Turkey in the forefront of the environmental world not only allowing Turkey the opportunity to solve its own environmental technologies to other countrşes in the region. This globalization process will help to increase the quality of life, wealth and happiness of the society.
What is ITDS?
CPA is the only company in the world that uses the Integrated Development Technology System (IDTS).
CPA creates technology investment opportunities based on the transfer of technology through the building and operating of commercial technology parks.
The ciritical operating feature of ITDS is that all program management responsibility is centralized.
Each CPA park project is organized around a cooperative effort between the Goverment, the academic community and the commercial financial sector.
Through ITDS a special partnership is formed among all participants on whose behalf CPA designs a project that will accomplish their defined objectives.
CPA's methodology is based on its analysis of over 500 Technology park projects around the world.
This research has helped CPA to determine the critical factors that led to their success or failure.
Success is defined as a financially self sustaining park with profitable occupants after three years of operations.
The factors for success have been formulated into CPA's approach.
CPA Establishes a Venture Fund
A Venture Fund is established where risk is shared by a network of sophisticated investors.
Occupants of the Park have access to capital for growth and development through the Venture Fund.
Small and medium size companies have opportunities to expand into the international market through the Venture Fund.
A business incubator is created enabling fledgling entrepreneurs to develop their ideas and ultimately finance a business through the venture fund.
